Short Story: Dark Alley #BlogShorts

Dark Alley
by Tom B. Taker

There was a steel glint in my eye and a steel glint in my hand.

The gun went off with a flash. He crumpled.

I left him there to rot.

  1. glint. crumpled. rot. I am in love with all three. Cheap date.

    1. Thank you very much. I obviously liked “glint,” too. I used it twice in a 30-word story. That is a very costly investment. 🙂

  2. I’m confused. Are we still talking about the cowboy and, if so, tell me it was not his horse he shot.

    1. I normally don’t deign to interpret my work, but I can say this much. No, this was not a cowboy shooting his horse. 🙂

And I use the term “work” very lightly. 🙂

    1. I’m sure I have absolutely no idea what you mean.

I have been thinking about making protection cards, though. If I do, you’re on the short list to get one. So you’ve got that going for you.
