Freedom of Conscience
There’s a group in our country who wants what they want. They communicate these wants through their leaders.
So, what do they want?
One example is something they want is atheists out of America. We know this through messages (called sermons) from official representatives of their organizations (called churches) led by official spokespersons (called preachers). Further, we know these messages are official because the membership (called congregations) has indicated support by voting (called money) for these representatives.
Another example (as if we needed more) is elected representatives (called Republicans) trying to control other human beings (called legislation) extending the “rights” of some to the detriment of others. These are the so-called Freedom of Conscience laws.
A few attempts have failed so far, including the one in Arizona just this week, but make no mistake about it. More are on the way. This will continue until one becomes the law of the land, at which point it will be appealed (at great expense) where it will finally be decided by the Supreme Court of the United States.
Now, I know that this combative group isn’t representative of all religious, conservative, Republican folks out there. There are lots of good, sincere and well-intentioned people on both sides of most any issue. (Even if one side stubbornly refuses to admit it.) But these types are supported by enough people that their messages often have as much power as a gathering storm.
The Freedom Of Conscience strategy represents a shift from the time-honored traditions of “abomination” and “you’re going to Hell.” One thing about the Culture War: It never ends and scouts are always being dispatched to probe for weaknesses along enemy lines.

Gonna Hitch a Pride
Pride and Guruness. Not exactly a common title found in your average library. “Pride” and “Guru” (of negativity) are not exactly words that go together. In fact, you might even say they are a contradiction in terms. They’re a toxic-moron.
Yet, the other day, I found myself knee-deep in the moment, that moment, and I’m proud to say I delivered. That is to say, I’m proud to say that I’m feeling a sense of pride.
Gonna hitch a ride
Head for the other side
Leave it all behind
Never change my mind
Gonna sail away
Sun lights another day
Freedom on my mind
Carry me away for the last time
Oh yeah
When that moment comes around, you had best be prepared. It never comes twice. Either you got the stuff and react on instinct or you don’t and you rue the day for a long, long time.
This is the story of how I came through! And we’re bringing along one of the seven deadlies for added fun.

The Sin of the Droplet #drabble
He could feel it starting. Up along the ridge where forehead met hairline. And he knew there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop it.
Go Flock Yourself

Everything I say is true because I represent the Big Guy. (Circular logic.) See? I'm even wearing the collar of obedience, just like Captain Kirk on Triskelion.
I’m in such a good mood, I’ve decided to extend a poopy hand of brotherly love to my fellow child of God, Pastor Dennis Terry.
When he said that people who don’t follow Jesus Christ should GET OUT!!! of America, because only people like himself really love this country, he had the right message, but due to the blessed brain limitations that God endowed him with, he merely lacked the right words.
I’ve decided to help.

Is SIN one of the seven deadly ZENS?
Hey boys and girls. There is no such thing as a free lunch. However, right now, today, as I write this, you can download a CD from the group SINIZEN … and it’s absolutely free!
Still here? 🙂
I got mine. Did you get yours? Better click the link and get your free download while they still last. You can come back and read the rest of my blather once you’ve secured that payload. Priorities, priorities!
How often can you get anything free these days? But if you act fast, it’s yours. I have no idea how long this will last. Seriously. Do … it … now.
I’m not exactly sure how to describe SINIZEN. I can’t seem to find a description for them on the web and – what? – no Wikipedia page yet? Seriously, someone should make one! I’d describe them as tasty licks with a reggae flavor. Someone can do much better than that, I’m sure.
So I told you where to get a free album. That’s my good deed for the day. Peace. Out.
Oh, and I put my thinking cap on, and for the life of me I can’t think of the seven deadly zens. Anyone got a list?
Update: I found their group profile.
SINIZEN is a four piece reggae rock group from Huntington Beach. Started by 3 friends, Kevin, Mike, and Jorge. Later finding Ryan Harvey after numerous bass player changes. This band is more determined and more driven than any other band out there and has made a devotion to the music and the scene by creating various albums of different genres, later coming back their roots on their latest breakthrough record “Grass.Roots.Culture”. Creating a reggae vibe with a latin and dub flavor, that surely cant be mistaken for another band in the scene! Dont Blink! you Might miss something!!!!
This is from their ReverbNation web page. Surf there for cool stuff, upcoming show info, etc. 🙂
