NASA Premieres ‘Trial By Fire’ Video on Orion’s Flight Test

It’s November 1st and that means Christmas is here. I don’t know about you but I like to celebrate with a festive cheese ball, like this video from NASA. Yes, the video is a little silly and stuffed with cheese, but it’s informative, too. They’ve been busy working on the new Orion capsule for some time now. I’m excited about Orion. Did you know it’s scheduled to launch on December 4th? I, for one, am looking forward to conquering our Van Allen belt overlords.

NASA’s newest spacecraft, Orion, will be launching into space for the first time in December 2014, on a flight that will take it farther than any spacecraft built to carry humans has gone in more than 40 years and through temperatures twice as hot as molten lava to put its critical systems to the test.
