    1. LOL! Thanks. I think. 🙂

Did you feel Jack Frost nipping at your toes?

I tried to do something different this time out. I’m not sure how it worked out. And the word “train” probably seems odd in there. That’s a nod to the year I woke up and found a model train already set up around the tree. 🙂

  2. I thought Jack nipped at noses…maybe you mean that other Jack.

Of course train works! Isn’t it a classic image of Christmas? An old-fashioned train set choo-chooing around the Christmas tree.

I’m afraid I’m going to have to give this one a FTW!

    1. Weird. I must have had toes subliminally on the brain. What could that mean?

I’m glad you got the image of the train!! Woot! I still have that thing, and my dad’s, too.

      1. You must have been admiring Mrs. Abyss and her new manicure…from far, far, far below. 🙂

    1. Thanks much. That means a lot coming from a fellow BlogShorts challenger. Or something like that.

  6. This was extremely cool – it was more like poetry than a story, but at the same time, I managed to see everything going on in the word-long lines :D.

    1. Wonderful. Another cheap way out of the challenge pays off. Seriously, though. Thanks!

      1. I didn’t think it was cheap at all. Very, very clever. (I may have to steal this idea!)

  7. Who is this band? And why are they in this post? I like the prose, but the band is skanky and screechy. Had to mute it.
Sorry – just thought we should start our meaningful relationship out with some honesty.

    1. Excellent. Someone who knows how to bring it. This ought to be good. 🙂

Who is that? Only the greatest Styx cover band ever. And they even have two original band members, too. Tommy Shaw and J.Y. Young.

That’s one of my favorite summer Christmas songs of all time.
