I’m a regular participant in the Shutterboo Weekly Photo Challenge (WPC) 2011 over on the Flickr web site. The premise is simple: Each week Shutterboo throws out a random word and we grab our cameras and try to creatively interpret that word with our captures.
I’ll be sharing my weekly WPC photos here on the blog. Above is my take on the challenge word “joy.”

I love that challenge – So far, I really like your pictures so far.
I don’t have that cookbook – maybe I should check it out!

Aw, thanks. After I took the pic I realized we own an even older copy. That’s the one I really should have featured. Oh well, I’m just thankful I survived “joy” week at all. 🙂

I have a 1971 (year of my birth) edition that I adore. It’s before they took out the possum-gizzard recipes. -slight joke/ reference to The Beverly Hillbillies (who came from where Pa does in the Ozarks Mtns)

In other news, this blog just jumped the shark.

So yeah, that’s our shelf. The left books are Fannie Farmer and mine. My favorites. The Joy of Cooking belongs to the wife. The New Basics is also mine.
