Brilliant! As American as apple pie…where the only thing American about the pie is the person eating it at Denny’s.
For some reason, when people buy a product advertised as “Made in USA” and open the box, when the first thing they see AND the biggest single piece of the product says, “Made in China,” they tend to have a few questions. I just wanted to clear things up! Now you know what goes on behind the scenes. I’m here to expose the wizard!
As someone who lives in Metro Detroit this is exactly what I think of every time I see a “Buy American, you damn Commies!” type bumper sticker.
Also my Father works at a “US Based” parts supplier for cars, and they haven’t had any plants in the US in years and a majority of the work force is in India or Asia somewhere. Not that I’m in disagreement of this practice, necessarily, but people with this attitude are mostly clueless of the world economy they live in.
Made in USA doesn’t always mean what you think it does. 99% of the parts may have been made elsewhere. Or, its hard to believe, but some companies will flat out lie about. Made in the USA claims are regulated by the FTC but you can guess how fierce they are about enforcement.
