ah, the life of a duck. or is that a swan? no, wait, it’s a seagull! right?
Nice guess, but wrong. I met a marine biologist recently (true story) who told me there is no such thing as a “seagull.” The correct identification in the photo is the western gull. See what you learn reading my blog? That’s useful information even if it does narrow my location down uncomfortably close.

My wife just explained how my correction of your usage of the term “seagull” was rude. I apologize. Apparently it wasn’t clear that the whole point of my reply was that I met a marine biologist! For bonus points I also asked her The Question.
You can scratch “ask marine biologist what she wants to be when she grows up” from my Bucket List!
