      The hellhole where my wife works has a new penchant for putting out motivational phrases to employees via email. The funny thing is, though, that when management runs the company so stupidly and unfairly, motivational phrases aren’t too effective as the icing on the cake. A downtrodden employee simply sneers at them.

      But management is too smart to understand something like that.
